Picture 20 of Gallery 5 did because it was a guy sleeping on the ground on a sidewalk with blankets and random padding. What makes them so good was it was still a good picture and it had some kind of story to them. I would say policemen because their work seems hard and photographing an issue can help solve it because it shows what is really going on.

I'd have to say the one that is on the main page because knowing that a dog and his owner are that close its cute!!!! Also knowing that they don't have a place to sleep and to keep warm! They are good because they are capturing a moment and when you capture that one moment it shows that it means something to them! I could see me doing like animals i don't know why but i love animals!

One picture that stuck with me is a homless man sitting with his dog. I think that the emotion makes the picture go further. If i had to photogragh anybody it would be a model.

A picture that really stuck in my head was one of a woman and she looked really skinny and she had something wrong with both of her eyes but she didn't seem sad. These portraits show what some people have to do to survive and it shows how hard it can be sometimes. I could see myself photographing kids and pregnant woman cause I love children. Photographing these issues shows people how life really is, and these pictures touch some people enough to make them want to help or do something.

The photo that stuck out to me was the picture of the lady with the sign about her dog. These portraits are good because they are very realistic. It can raise awareness for the problem.

These photos are something you see all the time in downtown portland. One of the pictures had a homeless man crying, this really got my attention because i felt sympathy for the guy. By taking pictures of the homeless people, it shows the problem and makes people have sympathy for the people.

One photo that stuck in my head was one of this elderly woman because it's sort of disturbing that her family let her stay on the streets. These pictures had the right lighting and the poses were really good. If i were to do a 'sub-culture' would be policemen.

The photo that stuck in my head the most was in the first album titled, 'Randall T.' I thought the dog looked happy with his owner even though they were both probably starving, and it says that even in the worst circumstances, anyone can find a silver lining. I think it might show the the upper classes how bad it can get.

One of the pictures that stuck in my head was of the guy who was sitting there, flipping off the camera, with his sign under his arm. Because it shows them at real times, and their everyday life. I could see myself taking pictures of cops, because they are just so sneaking it would be fun to try and find them. It can solve an issue by showing there are really people out there who are in need of something.

The first image I saw stuck with me the most. The one that meant the most to me is the one with the man holding his dog. I could definitely see myself going on a ride along with a policeman and taking pictures throughout the day.

The image that caught my attention the most would be the first picture of the guy with his dog because it clearly shows your pet is your best friend and will stick with you no matter the situation. These images are strong because they set the mood and give a picture with the actual environment these people are in. I could see myself photographing athletes in action because there isn't a specific pose or scene that has to be set up. Photographing an issue like this shows people whats going on in the world.

I think the last picture that stuck in my head the most was the one on gallery 2, unknown 12, because he's sleeping o straight concrete and looks passed out. I think what makes these portraits good is that it shows the real homeless people and what they are actually doing. Taking pictures of this can help solve the problem by showing how bad of conditions they're in and people might help them.

the one image that stuck in my head was the one with the old man and the puppy, the old man was in a red plaid shirt. and the puppy looks like it is a golden retriever. it stuck in my head because oh the puppy it just looks so sad. Sub culture that i could see myself doing is probably rodeo photography. Photographing a problem like this can help solve an issue because more people will see it because it is on the internet and now a days a lot of the work is on a computer.

These photos make you think of all the sadness and the feeling of emptiness, they have nothing really. It changes peoples perspective because it's capturing a moment where it's still and silent and a lone. So by taking a photo of someone it can put out the word and mental image because just hearing about it doesn't tell as much as a picture say's a million more words. The one that I thought of the most was when the guy was sitting alone and his eyes were empty and with sadness and it really captures well and tells people whats going on.

V. Smith P.1

The one thing that stuck in my head was that the pictures are very emotional. The portraits are good because of the way the photographer takes it in the emotional way. I could see myself photographing animals and it can help a issue because of the emotion that it can show.

Picture 7 in gallery 2 really stuck out in my mind. You see that even though people might be in a rough spot they still have people or animals they can care for. Considering that these people aren't dressed up or posing for the photo you can still get a story of who they are and what their life is like. Some other 'sub cultural' groups I could see myself photographing would be younger kids. They always have such energy and excitement in how they interact and play, unlike any other age. Photographing an issue like homelessness can help solve the problem because if more people have an insight or photo of an issue they're unaware of it can help catch their attention and get more people involved.

it was the image of Douglas B. , because he just looks like he has something life changing to tell us.These portraits are good , because somebody took time , and took a picture of these people in their element. i could see myself photographing animals. buy photographing an image it can burn a feeling into someones brain.

The image that stuck with me most was in gallery 2 picture 7. That image stuck with me the most because there was 2 dogs in the picture. I think that you shouldn't have any dogs if your homeless because you can support your self let alone a dog. I would say detective work. That can solve the problem because it's evidence and the evidence in the picture never changes.

Tho photo that caught my attention the most was of the woman sleeping on the sidewalk on some type of bed with a box full of her belongings next to her. These portraits are strong because they are of people who wouldn't normally be photographed and it shows what some people go through in real life. I would enjoy photographing the elderly. These type of photos can bring peoples attention to problems in the world so people will help the homeless by donating to charities, ect.

A.Champ p.1.

All of them kind of stuck with me. But one I thought was especially profound was the one of Tom W. in the first set of twenty. I only looked through that group, but from what I saw, he was the only one with happy eyes and a balmy demeanor. That's extremely uplifting, and I'm proud of him for not allowing the negative to bring him down.
The thing that makes these pictures good are the feelings you get from viewing them. They register emotionally. They're striking.
The elderly are always really interesting to photograph because their facial compositions are so unique, and always capture the light really well.
It brings attention to whatever the subject of the problem is!

The image that gets stuck in my head it the one on the front of this blog. Homeless people with dogs is sad. Dogs should not have to live like homeless people do or chose to. I could see myself taking pictures like this. I think people take pictures to show the world how people live.

The image that really stuck in my head is the one with the woman trying to feed her dog. There isn't much planning in taking the photos because he wants it to be real so he doesn't frame it or anything, what you see is what was really there. I could photograph a games convention or something. People could become aware from the pictures and more likely to start helping.

Gallery 1 picture 13 stuck in my head the most because there was an animal with him. To me when you have a et while you're homeless is super sad because not only do you need food for yourself but for your animal also. These portraits are still really good because they are real life things. They aren't made up, they"re life. Real people. I would photograph little kids. The picture that stuck in my head the most was the picture on the main page. The one with the man and his dog. These portraits are good because they show the homeless people on their own how they are usually. They aren't posed, they're how they would be if the photographer wasn't there. If I were to do something like this, I'd want to photograph random people I see walking around on the streets of Portland or Seattle.

The main one shown is my favorite out of them all, he clearly care about their dog thats been by their side through their difficulties in life. It captures the moment that is right in front of them they aren't people who dress for the photo, it shows that they are struggling, hungry, and just want some help :/ By photographing this it can document and spread knowledge of what is going on, the fact that it is real and we see it everyday when we're walking down the street.

John K stands out the most to me because he is just sitting there with a cane and you know you cant do anything about that handicapped. The picture stands alone because it is showing us how horrible they are doing, and it expresses where they are standing. This could solve homeless problems by showing us how bad off they are, and that we could simply help them by donating money or volunteering at a homeless shelter or feeding the homeless.
