Larry Towell took black and white pictures of the Contra war in Nicaragua, the civil war in El Salvador, relatives of the disappeared in Guatemala, and American Vietnam War vets. The pictures are raw and looks planned and at the same time it doesn't. I'm not really familiar with any "cool" photographers so I don't know about them.

I think the one photographer that we should check out is Nick Knight. His work is more daring and abstract than most photographers. His work mostly involves fashion, but his work is mostly too odd for most people to wear, since he deals with more crazier photos.

I don't know any photographers but I really like the street artist, Banksy. He uses what's on the walls and sidewalks and makes them a focal point in his street art. There's a movie, Exit Through The Gift Shop, that we should watch, the only photography aspect of it is the people taking pictures of his work.

Nick Curteman photographs weddings. I just found him online and I really like his photos. I think to be a wedding photographer would be really difficult because you have to represent someone else and their big day. They pay you to take photos and they expect them to be good. I think it would be fun to be a wedding photographer because in a way you get to enjoy their big day with them.
